               𝐅𝐈𝐍𝐃𝐈𝐍𝐆  𝐁𝐑𝐔𝐈𝐒𝐄𝐒  𝐖𝐄𝐑𝐄  𝐔𝐍𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐌𝐎𝐍  𝐅𝐎𝐑  𝐊𝐈𝐌.       it  comes  with  the  job  of  being  a  teen  vigilante;  she’s  still  human.  and  while  her  repertoire  of  fighting  skills  grow,  so  do  her  makeup  skills.  kim  can  conceal  a  handful  of  bruises  on  her  throat  (  just  the  usual  robots  pinning  her  against  concrete  walls  by  the  neck  )  as  well  as  executing  a  wing  so  sharp  it  can  cut.  however,  not  all  primers  are  perfect  and  the  night  has  gone  long  enough  for  the  makeup  to  fade,  revealing  mottled  purple  skin.

“  yeah  ,  right.  so  -  ”  her hands clasp together  ,  lips pressing firmly together  ,  raising her eyebrows.  she sucks in air through her teeth.  awkward.  “  we don’t  ,  like  ,  uh.  usually do  CURSES.  ”  well.  all of them  CAN  ,  and her parents and jupiter herself have the most experience with them.  but still.  “  that’s like  ,  really dark magic.  and  -  like  ,  we can  ,  like  ,  BREAK  CURSES  ,  you know  ?   but like  ,  we’re love witches.  curses  .  .  . are like .  .  .  super uh  ,  intricate and delicate and -  and even then  ,  expensive so like.  ”  she scratches the back of her head  ,  cringes up at him.  how awkward.  “  i can  -  if you want,  i know some other witches.  i can like  ,  text them.  ”

@lethalfngs​,  can we do them?  yes.  two thousand dollars, and i have to ask mom.

           this whiskey isn’t nearly strong enough. and dom is clearly not as buzzed as he’d like to be, but is he ever? he didn’t have time for this...or more so he didn’t want to waste his time with this. vampires had never been his forte, finding them just like the rest of the supernatural community that he so desperately tried to avoid, a pain. more trouble then they’re worth. a few bills are tossed onto the bar before the demon slips on his jacket. valentines day is bad enough let alone spending it at the bar. netflix sounded like a better option. 

            “ hope you find one buddy. ” a hand clamped to the shoulder paired with a devious grin and in moments the demon is heading out the back.

“that can be arranged,” the reply was instantaneous, a small smile tugging at the corners of his lips. he had no interest in being here anyway, didn’t care whose father it would appease, how good it would be for anyone —- he rarely held interest in anything before zaiden had re-entered his life, certainly didn’t care for anything more now. had deemed this to be a waste of time before even arriving, but had done his best to seem pleasant enough; had probably consumed close to three bottles of wine in the process, but no one told him sobriety was mandatory.

it was the same old thing every year; big expensive fundraiser, the museum of natural history rented out, the whale dangling above their heads —- why not forgo the whole thing and donate it all to charity? why mask the desire to prove how rich you are with psuedo-kindness? “are you sick of staring at the stuffed polar bears too?” the shine had worn off long ago, wasn’t sure why their parents continued to drag them to these things. it was one thing to be six with the museum of natural history to yourself, but on the precipice of adulthood he no longer held interest.

he briefly shifted his gaze to his phone, brows furrowed as he ordered an uber. “if we start heading towards the hall with the fish we’ll be out of here by the time our uber shows up,” tris tugged the other closer before linking their arms together, made no attempts to say goodbye to anyone. a french boy making a french exit, how typical. “do you want to pick up a pizza on the way home?” they hadn’t even stayed long enough for their food, what a pity —- and at $530 a plate it had to be something, good right? oh well. “je meurs de faim… unless you want chinese?”
