she wanted to pretend like she hadn’t been looking forward to this but that would be a damn lie that was obvious if you looked in her eyes. her driver had brought her here about 20 minutes ago; thankfully, ariel’s fame was at a comfortable enough level that she was able to be out in public without being hounded, but she still wears sunglasses and a hat to ensure she isn’t recognized. her focus is entirely on the woman who she’s supposed to meet here, someone she hadn’t thought she’d go out with again but their last date had gone so well, she figures... she hadn’t taken any kind of a risk in a while. and life was so stressful, with all the shit she was dealing with, what’s the harm in one more day? hoping she’s just as much the charmer in the broad daylight as she is at night, she waits along the entrance to the amusement park with her driver, trying to hide the deer-in-headlights look she feels. she spots alice walking up to them and exchanges a look with her driver before walking forward to greet her. “hey. you made it.” really? that’s the best that the infamous woman-chaser could do? jesus, it had been so long since she’d been on an actual date that she couldn’t remember how to be. and honestly, she was surprised alice even said yes, given her reputation. maybe she saw something in ariel that night and wanted to give her a chance, or maybe she just was bored. ( she, of course, hoped it was the first one. ) “you’re gonna ride a coaster with me, right?”
