She had only been in this god-forsaken city for a few days and it was already started to wear her down. It was a nice reminder as to why, during all of her travels, she never spent much time here. She had hoped to avoid returning but apparently some old business said otherwise.
Of course the rainy weather did little to improve her less than fantastic mood. Jennifer normally loved the rain mostly because she could always shuffle on home and curl up with some blankets and a movie or because she was actually prepared for a torrential downpour. Such wasn't the case here, leaving her feeling very much like a drowned rat as she navigated the darkening streets.
The young woman was so wrapped up in thoughts of a warm hotel room and nice hot shower that she failed to notice the bulk of a man until she quite literally walked right into him.
An apology quickly began forming upon her lips as she backpedaled a few steps, daring to glance at the person she had so rudely bumped into. Jesus fuck he's built like a fucking brick shit-house. Realizing she had yet to actually apologize, a hesitant smile appeared.
