Let's Play 2013 - Tabletop Gaming and Geek Culture Celebration in Singapore Part 1
It may not be International Tabletop Day but that did not stop a bunch of Singaporean tabletop gaming lovers and cosplayers from converging at Cheng San CC on 7th and 8th September for two full days of tabletop gaming goodness in an event called Let's Play 2013.
Board Games Buffet by NTU Fast Forward Games Club
We went down to join in the fun on Sunday, 8th Sep and thanks to the board games buffet, we managed to play 3 different games in an afternoon of fun. Check out all the games they brought down ranging from party to strategic!
It was cool that they were pretty liberal with who they lent the games to. Security in the area was low and anyone might have just stolen the games. But we all believe in karma don't we?
Good karma to NTU FF then, for we had loads of fun playing Ticket to Ride, Munchkin and Settlers of Catan!
Let's Cosplay! by NEO Tokyo Project
Cosplay at a neighbourhood CC! That's right! The cosplayers did not use the excuse of being at a neighborhood event to skimp on their efforts. Lots of them still put in a lot of time and work to make sure their costumes are looking their best on stage.
The cosplay event definitely added quite a bit of comic / manga atmosphere to the event. And of course, cosplayers with their colorful costumes are always a feast for the eyes.
We'll share more pictures for the day tomorrow with some miniatures and card gaming action so stay tuned!
