2 Days, The Chapter Closes

2 days left until I become a wife and leave my life of singlehood forever.

I’m taking tomorrow off work (3 day weekend, woot!) and Bestie comes in tonight by plane.  Picking her up and the madness can ensue.

Friday and Saturday will probably be two of the fastest days of my life.  But in those days, I get to be with family and marry the love of my life.

I won’t lie, I’m a bit nervous.  This is a huge life change for both of us, but I know that we will figure things out.  We’re both problem solvers so it won’t take us long to find a system that works.  

Then we can settle into married life together and enjoy it for the next 60+ years.

I started up on birth control again yesterday, and I’m so happy to have it again.  I got it from a company called Nurx, a program that helps women get the birth control they need.  Not all states do it, but I am in one of the states that qualifies for the program, so I’m very lucky.  I will be getting BC for the next year and so forth until I don’t require it anymore.

Best of all, insurance covers it so it’s free.

BC has helped me take care of my cysts, and now it will prevent me from getting pregnant (hopefully).  We’re not ready for children yet, but we hope to start a family in the next couple of years.

For now, we will build a life together and I can focus on nothing but that.  Anything or anyone else can fade into history.

Speaking of which, I never did post what I said I would.  I have a few I can post, but it only makes sense to post it all at once.  Perhaps I’ll do that tomorrow...but at least it is all written, that much was completed at least.  I may even share some of it with Bestie.

I’m nervous about the life changes, I’m not at all nervous about the man I’m marrying.  It’s time to step outside the comfort zone and be challenged.  It’s time to stop settling for second best and accept the very best.

2 days left, it’s coming up so fast.  Hard to believe that at day 151, we created our wedding website.  Almost a year ago, I asked him out.  Best decision I ever made.

And the best decision he made was giving me a chance.  He was cautious, I knew that, but it all just kept falling into place.  I am convinced God kept pushing me towards him and never giving up.

Now, I can’t imagine myself with anyone else and I am marrying the perfect man, my perfect husband.  Last night, he said to me “I’m going to make you my wife” and I was filled to the brim with happiness.  Nothing would make me happier than to be his wife and he be my husband, and on Saturday, this chapter closes and a new life begins.

I can’t wait to start this chapter with you, Florizel.  We have our whole lives ahead and I want to live forever.  Even in death, we will not be parted.  We will find each other again.  I don’t think I want to reincarnate anytime soon.

2 days.  Let’s rock and roll.  I love you to the ends of the earth and back.
