Seal Project #1
This was my second time working with super sculpey, and it has shown me that it can be used effectively in most any modelling project.
In this project we are making a seal for a secret society, and I personally am making one for a group called the Craftsguild, and the seal itself is a mix of all 4 of their scars from their tools. As in the world i am making all crafts have been phased out, and due to that the people need to relearn, and due to a ruling from their continent's leader "The Intelligence" all crafts have been banned in order to increase the leaders own profit margins.
We started off being given a small block of super sculpey, and then I simply flattened it and scored in lines for me to cut and get a general shape for the seal base.
I then cut out the square, and would proceed to use the scraps to make the sigil on the front of the seal.
I then measured the size of the seal, in order for me to judge a general approximate size for the handle.
Due to the seal being 2.7cm x 2.7cm, and i suggested that the handle be about 6 times that, we would have a stone which is around 16.2 cm tall.
I then, using more sculpey, made walls for the seal, so that later we could pour resin into the mould I am making and get a plastic seal.
I was then given a box of stones, rocks and pebbles to inspect and see which were good by my criteria, and I discovered this rock, which when held was very ergonomic, however could not stand on its own, so I will do some editing on blender to make the centre of mass better and allow for a more balanced stone.
