This book I just received in the mail yesterday from a shop in France is jaw-dropping. It's easily one of the coolest lettering books I've ever seen with 72 beautiful, oversized color plates. I need to make a full scan of this one as soon as possible - it's a real treasure. I was scrolling through some old photos and found this cool shot @slimsalaclay took for me when we were doing a shoot about Lettering Library last year. This is a page from "Album Nouveaux Monogrammes en Relief" by M. Rawski from 1911 - it's a really killer book which is filled with these deeply embossed monograms and heraldry, some of them even in Russian, Greek and Hebrew. #letteringlibrary #letteringbooks

I found this treasure today at an antique shop in Wayne, PA - it's easily the most beautiful version of the Declaration of Independence (or any document for that matter) that I've ever seen by a long shot. It's not by Costello, Ames, or Barlow, but someone of their skill level is responsible for this beauty. There was a signature of the very bottom, but it was not a name I recognized - I really wish I got a photo of it, I have no idea why I didn't think to snap a shot of that at the time.
