     Another common sleepless night for Nagi.

     One that started with nightmares                     (of blood s o a k e d hands and                     tears r u n n i n g down children's faces                     oh how war d e s t r o y s everyone)     and continued with light footsteps     of the marbled floor of the Order.

     She passed by one of the many windows,     her breath forming small clouds in the air,     and she pulled apart the curtains to look     at the full moon.                     (a bloody r e d moon)

     Nagi heard the footsteps walking behind     her, recognising the stride of the person     it belonged to.

     Still, she watched as Loki dismantled the locks     on the cage she was trapped inside after shutting     off the electricity. She had been stuck in that cage     for days, left without any food and only one bottle     of water. Their way, she supposed, of trying to     torture her, but she had been through much worse.

     Nagi wondered how Loki even knew where she     was, would even bother trying to help her. After     all, she had tried to injure and capture him, once.      She couldn't help but think that Loki was allied     with her captors, using this 'escape' as a tactic     for her to lower her guard.

     Nagi couldn't help but be suspicious of everyone.

When Nagi was three years old, her mother had placed a gun in her hands and told her to shoot at a target. Nagi, of course, only stared at her mother, confused, and her mother sighed before taking her own gun and shooting it at Nagi's ear. She jumped back at the noise, frightened by it, and clutched her ear, blood leaking from the, admittedly small, wound.

"Do it."

Tears pooling in the corner of her eyes, Nagi raised the gun and pointed it at the target in front of her. She closed her eyes and pulled the trigger, and the recoil made her fall to the floor, the shot going wide. Her mother smacked her across the face for daring to miss, for closing her eyes, and Nagi was force to shoot and miss over and over again, getting a slap each and every time.
