Enjoy a delicious and spicy bunless burger packed with the flavors of a fiesta! This burger is wrapped in crisp lettuce leaves instead of a bun for a low-carb twist.
Ingredients: 1 lb ground beef. 1/2 cup diced red bell pepper. 1/2 cup diced onion. 1/2 cup diced tomatoes. 1/4 cup sliced jalapeos. 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese. 1 tsp chili powder. 1/2 tsp cumin. Salt and pepper to taste. Lettuce leaves for wrapping.
Instructions: In a bowl, mix the ground beef with chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Form the seasoned beef into patties. Preheat a grill or stovetop pan over medium-high heat. Grill the patties for about 4-5 minutes per side or until cooked to your desired level of doneness. While the patties are cooking, saut the diced red bell pepper and onion in a separate pan until they soften. Once the patties are done, top each one with shredded cheddar cheese and cover until the cheese melts. To assemble, place a lettuce leaf on a plate, add a burger patty with melted cheese, and then top with diced tomatoes and sliced jalapeos. Serve your Bunless Fiesta Burger open-faced with extra toppings if desired.
