A delicious and flavorful recipe inspired by PF Chang's Lettuce Wraps. Ground chicken cooked with savory sauces, aromatics, and crunchy water chestnuts, served in crisp iceberg lettuce cups.
Ingredients: 1 lb ground chicken. 2 tablespoons sesame oil. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1 onion, diced. 1/4 cup hoisin sauce. 2 tablespoons soy sauce. 1 tablespoon rice vinegar. 1 tablespoon freshly grated ginger. 1 teaspoon Sriracha sauce optional. 1 can water chestnuts, drained and finely chopped. 2 green onions, thinly sliced. 1 head iceberg lettuce, leaves separated.
Instructions: Heat sesame oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add ground chicken and cook until browned, breaking it into crumbles as it cooks. Stir in garlic, onion, hoisin sauce, soy sauce, rice vinegar, ginger, and Sriracha sauce if using. Cook until onions are translucent. Stir in water chestnuts and green onions, cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes. To serve, spoon chicken mixture into lettuce leaves, wrapping them like a taco.
