PALACE GUCCI

Under the experimental impetus of Vault, Gucci's concept store, Creative Director Alessandro Michele has invited the co-founders of Palace Skateboards, Lev Tanju and Gareth Skewis, to reinterpret the codes of the House with their brash brand of wild abandon. For the Palace Gucci collection, the design collective pulls inspiration from the influences that surround UK street culture—from football to house music to motorbiking. Inspired by Palace’s back-catalogue and Gucci’s cross-generational influence on youth culture, the collection merges two distinctive aesthetic languages - inherently Italian and boldly British - to break new ground together, also adding another iconic brand in the mix, with a limited-edition Palace Gucci Moto Guzzi V7. The meeting of worlds and morphing of creative minds inherent to Palace Gucci inspires a campaign by Max Siedentopf, which includes a few Easter eggs and special cameos. Under the experimental impetus of Vault, Gucci’s concept store, Creative Director Alessandro Michele has invited the founders of Palace, Lev Tanju and Gareth Skewis, to shake things up by designing a collection with wild abandon.   Prepare for whiplash as the head-turning collection is revealed in a loop of absurdity envisioned by Max Siedentopf.
