so apparently saying "im done my drink" as opposed to "im done with my drink" is a part of the canadian dialect of english? (or "done my food/homework/etc" or "she's done her drink" etc etc)

to me (canadian), "im done my drink" means that the drink is gone, you've finished it whereas "im done with my drink" means that your drink is not gone but you do not want to finish it
