Anyway, here's another redraw from 2016! You've seen these characters before in another redraw.
The girl is Levaeda, a courtier (and my character Rose reincarnated, but more on that later). Her civilization is based off the 18th century, so I got to do some fun research on her clothes. I need to draw her more often, because it turns out I really love drawing pretty dresses.
And the man is T'Arnysh! I've posted a few drawings of him in the past. Here he's an adult. And I gave him stripes! They look good on him. T'Arnysh's mother is a creature called on onimune. They have animal traits, so he's part cat. And he's a really powerful water and air elementalist.
The story here is that T'Arnysh--and all the other magic-users in the land--has been asleep for 1000+ years. He's been immortalized in the history books of Levaeda's people, but not as the hero he really was. He's the villain in all their legends, the ultimate evil. Then, one day, Levaeda finds a strange book in the royal library and reads a poem from it...and T'Arnysh wakes up.
