Tumblr is acting strange tonight...
This was not supposed to happen. How could Eliot let himself get caught out like that? But the moment he saw you, your eyes, your smile. He was captivated. Now he had a problem, torn between carrying out his job, you were the mark after all, and protecting you from his team. You weren’t the one the team were originally after; they were after one of the guys you worked with initially. Then they realised that you were the one who done the planning, not their original target and their focus changed, shifted to aim at you full steam ahead.
Truth be told when you weren’t the target, Eliot didn’t really look at you, notice you. He was focused on the original target and damn did he regret that. He hated the fact that he had to get close to you to do his job, he wanted to get close to you for a whole other set of reasons. Taking you down was at the buried deeply at the bottom of that list. For some reason, having to seduce you a part of the con added more pressure to him. That he wasn’t used to. Eliot would never admit this to anyone but when someone looked as attractive as you did, he most definitely felt pressure and was extremely nervous about screwing it up, especially when it was part of a con. During a con, people were counting on him to play his part well enough to convince the target that he was not a con artist.
------------------------------------------------------------------
You had Eliot pinned against a wall. This he most definitely hadn’t calculated happening. He had underestimated you again. He internally cursed himself as you held your knife to his throat, he knew better than to move in these predicaments. He had to trust his team would interrupt and give him an out, a distraction to allow him to do what he was so incredibly good at. Your face was close enough that it wouldn’t have taken much to close the gap and lock lips with you. Eliot closed his eyes and tried to will the image of kissing you away, will away how good your lips would feel on his, how good you would feel under his arms. The sounds you would make when we squeezed your body as he explored it. The sounds he could make you make. He squeezed his eyes shut, knowing this wasn’t the time or the place for these kinds of invasive thoughts. He had to wait until there was a moment where you were distracted enough to not keep the knife so close to his throat, where he could gain some distance to disarm you safely. Not that he truly wanted any distance from you. If you weren’t the mark Eliot had zero issues with thinking this could be a real turn on. This was not the time or the place for that though.
