The week finished out, the heat came back on and the heat of the room was so... At some point, Crassus shed his shirt, leaning again the cool wall behind the bed and sweating. It was less the heat of the room and more the medicine finally finishing its path out of his system. He had cold sweats, the shakes, had thrown-up twice... Very little acting would be needed to convince the Lord that he was nearing the breaking point. The headache he had between his eyes was enough on its own to make him consider bashing his head into the wall.
