Picture Two - The Supper of the Last
This piece was one of the most controversial pieces i created. This piece is apart of my Seven Deadly Sins collection. Before I explain this piece, I just want to say that I am aware what I have created and the different views/feelings I was going to get from this piece of art but I don't care. I wanted to explain a different perspective of the sins.
Titled "The Supper of the Last" it plays of the idea of the famous picture of the Last Supper. The idea behind this piece was to look at the Seven Deadly Sins at a different perspective that reflects them as both a bad and good thing a person has. There are many different interruptions of this piece but here are some:
1. The is the last supper/time/action that one will have with all their sins before they devote their lives to God.
2. The even through all the good we do there is always some part of the sins that will be there with us.
3. The sins are just as powerful as Jesus but its in the choice of the person to decide their path and life style.
All and all there are things to look into religion. There are many levels and perspectives to religion and the sins that it allows people to think about what to believe and hear. I just believe that faith is a powerful thing and can take you far. I just wanted to express the different perspectives. Each creature is represented by creatures that are know to symbolize each sin. The creatures came from different religious perspectives and legend stories.
From left to right here are the sins: Gluttony (top), Wrath (bottom), Greed, Pride, Envy, Lust, and Sloth.
