breanna when she finally gets called out on it:
"When people are wronged, we're here to make it right. Why do we do it? To redeem ourselves from our criminal past. And to use our unique skills against the powerful and corrupt. "
I'm crying. I love this new mission statement.
It's similar to what Nate used to say, and I love the original series intro and wish we had the same intro for Redemption; now we have it here!
Also, it feels like, because this is from Sophie's point of view, how the former criminals felt about why they are doing this.
'Sometimes bad guys make the best good guys.' Feels like there's still a layer between Nate and the 'bad guys' statement because he's always struggled with being the Mastermind and a criminal. It's only in the final season that he's made peace with it.
Everyone in Leverage Redemption on the other hand used to be criminals (to a lesser extent with Breanna). They are actively seeking redemption.
Nate, was for the longest time, the angriest member of the group. And that's honestly valid of him because of how he lost his son but he's also kind of separated himself from the 'criminal' part, loudly in season 1.
And then in later seasons both Sophie and Eliot called him on how he looked down on the rest of the group.
Also, the way Sophie went on with 'we save one person and the next one, and the next one.' felt very early season Angel the Series to me. "If nothing we do matters, then all we do matters."
And it just hit me how much... kinder it is even though none of the team will hesitate and hit you with a mack truck when pushed.
I love this show universe so much.
Also, Our Mr. Wilson is back and I'm so happy!
(You know me, I'm a sucker for the One after the One stories. Thank you, The OC. - Yes, Ryan and Taylor are my OTP, what?).
Leverage redemption really said we’re gonna make you feel things tonight
The e-sports episode of Leverage: Redemption was awesome. So many funny things!
Spoilers ahead!!!
The t-shirt cannon
Peter Manning
Parker’s hilariously bad photoshopped computer background
“Our second date- well, second non-jumping-off-a-building date.”
“He took his shirt off, and now he’s doing push-ups and glaring at me- it’s weird man!”
Naruto-running
I just love how theatrical and grandiose is Sophie's presentation about what leverage does. Nate was all very succinct and to the point but Sophie is a theater director she has to do the dramatic monologue
So we all agree Paul is Eliot's ex bf
you think you can abuse a CHILD in front of
ELIOT FREAKIN SPENCER?!?!?!
what’s that? that’s not a child but an adult man?
IRRELEVANT
Just finished watching Leverage Redemption S2 and my biggest takeaway is CAPTAIN ANDERSON IS ELIOT’S DAD?!?!
This to me just means that Eliot is the grew up on the tough streets version of Commander Shepard
