this scene is genueinly one of the most special scenes EVER in dragons rising to me. it was so soft and intimate and the way you could just FEEL all the emotions in this scene, the guilt the grief the everything, and the hug at end?? god. 10/10 scene 10/10 episode I will love ep8 forever and ever
hey. hey guys. do u ever think about the fact that kai's whole motive and will to live during the time he was in the land of monsters was his friends and family. getting back to them and seeing them again, being with them again and in their arms again, that was his main and most cherished priority and was the only thing that even kept him alive despite the hell he was going through
and the reason why he's so silly and cheerful during DR is because he's bottling up everything. he sees what happened during his time at the land of monsters as meaningless now, a mere dream (or rather nightmare), he's back with his friends and family!!! the people who he literally made through hell and survived just to see them again!!!!! he doesn't care even if the trauma is genuienly hurting him, he's back with the people that motivated him and were the entire reason he didn't die
hey does anyone else ever think about how it's implied in "nyad" that nya stayed up all night until sunrise watching over jay, as she wasn't able to drag the water out of his lungs while he was slowly dying infront of her or are you normal
just. just think about it. she was refusing to sleep because she didn't wanna miss his last breath, or for him to be alone when he passed....
uahghdhghrhghghshf the way cole connects with the team uniquely will never not make me go insane 😭 like, how he's able to talk and engage with them all with things that interest them because he cares about them just feels so genuine and sweet man, he's a sweetheart and such an empathetic character I love him so much 😭😭
when you slow down this scene, there's a little detail that–while not really noticable–arin's reactions are a little later than the rest, and his facial expressions shift alot moreso than the others, showing how he's probably pretty unfocused
and with that detail, kai seems to be the one who's the most focused, as even nya and lloyd's expressions occasionally shift (lloyd being the most out of the three of them), while he stayed unchanged the entire time

Guys. one of the two moons disappearing in s2 symbolizing sora loosing arin. they're. they're two moons. that were pulled together by the merge. but then one disappeared when something that pulled them apart happened. The fucking blood moon. the blood moon that only required the use of only one moon, the other deemed 'useless'. Guys.

this scene. Genuienly broke me. Ohhh the way arin fell into sora's arms. at that exact moment sora was arin's only family left. he thought he had no one else, he thought his parents were well & truly gone now. in this moment all they had was eachother.
and. just the way he. Drops to his knees. the reality of the situation quite Literally came crashing down on him. he genuienly thought they were never coming back. "you once told me 'change can be scary'. I'm scared, sora." god. God. Ohmyogof. maybe at that moment he remembered being that scared little kid again right after the merge, except he had no hope of his parents coming back to hold onto anymore.
Hhegrhe. and sora. Audgh. she knows that all she can do now is be with him and hold him, stay with him, together forever like they always promised. Ausgshdh. God. Scipie you are the number 1 reason I always cry at this point

has anyone ever noticed how there's something so symbolic about how sora's tournament suit doesn't match any of the other tournament suits, as she always wants to stick out because of her time in imperium, but her tournament suit matches lloyd's master suit specifically
out of his students, sora was the only one lloyd had actually progressed with and who's ways applied to her perfectly. he managed to succeed as a teacher to sora, he managed to succeed as a master to her. he earned her trust, and formed such a close bond with her, which was especially shown in this part. like I said above, sora always makes sure to stick out and never match with anyone else, so her simply matching her outfit with lloyd's in some way just shows her deep trust for lloyd as her master. it's basically the physical embodiment of her trust in him, and it's also a sign of his success and his great progress with her
