Yes...I am just as much of a “Phantom of the Opera” geek--or freak--as I am about the Doctor.
And just as I prefer the Doctor over Jack Harkness, I prefer Erik over Raoul. (which is interesting on another level because John Barrowman has sung the role of Raoul, Vicomte de Chagny! Score 1 pt each for the Doctor & Erik. ;-))
I have this thing for complicated, charismatic, brainy men. Because they are often so much more interesting. And I admit it: if I heard a phenomenal tenor voice (Ramin Karimloo!!! o_O) coming through a mirror, giving me voice lessons, I’d be telling Monsieur le Vicomte to take a freaking hike.
But then, thus sayeth I, a musician who embraces the night like a lover for various emotional reasons.
I don’t expect others to understand...not when it is difficult for me to write what’s in my heart when it is not in lyric form and set to music.
...just that..like Erik, I have loved without hope of being loved for myself in return...that is all I can say.
