〈 summer dreams, ripped at the seams 〉
♡ : 「 @levieu 」 | she wonders if this how her father felt when her mother left him. utter betrayal with the only evidence of their time together being in the form of a new helpless human being. it’s funny; that she spent the majority of her life believing that this kind of love would never come to her, only for it to come crashing into her in the course of one summer. it’s pathetic how quickly she fell, thinking that more would come out of their relationship, only to have the rug puled from right beneath her feet. now that the blazing summer’s heat is slowly cooling into the mellow breezes of autumn, she only has their memories together to show that she’s been burnt.
perhaps she was correct to believe that she wasn’t built for this kind of love. she should have been smarter, more logical. she should have listened to her instincts that told her run, to not trust him. she should have protected her heart better.
she thinks the fates are purposefully trying to make her life difficult. though the drakon situation has finally been resolved, sooah is still reeling from the lost of a sister. it’s getting easier to breathe as the days go on, but she’s still grieving. she needs more time to heal from both losses. but as fate would have it, one source of her ailment stands right in front of her. she should just leave it it alone-- give her heart a break from the pain by turning around and marching right back into her cabin. but once her sight is set on his figure, the only thing she can feel is complete anger. and she swears her heart did not skip a beat
it’s said heart, not her brain, that leads her feet to bring herself right in front of him. an ambush of some sort. she pastes on a saccharine sweet smile as she eyes him. “ well, it’s certainly a surprise running into you. i guess people don’t just disappear when you say bye to them forever. especially when they go to the same university as you.”
