Alexion took the steps that led up to Camille’s apartment two at a time. For days now he had felt unsettled and on edge. So naturally he had kept most at a slight distance. Guilt for canceling on their plans to train had been on the forefront of Lex’s mind since he had woken that morning. Although Cami had seemed fine about the cancelled plan,

Lex didn’t make it a habit to stalk the streets at night, at least not anymore. This town was relatively quiet compared to some of the others he had lived in and it was a nice change. After living as many years as he had, thing had a tendency to get old rather quickly. A beep from his phone drew his eyes downwards before an easy smile slipped onto his features.

As he reached The Cove, he didn’t bother to text Cami back. Instead he walked onto the beach and towards the water.

“Camille?”
