hi everyone welcome to the last fic for "pjjg valentines week"! we had a total of nine fics and out of them only two were actual drabbles lmao. i hope you guys liked them, i genuinely had so much fun with all the different ships and prompts (we didn't get a single repeating ship or prompt which was cool). i really really love doing these mini "challenges" and collections so there are sure to be more in the future. i will be releasing an "update on my writing and future of this blog" post soon but until then have a great read and enjoy the chaos <3
eyes of the storm

First dates as a general rule should involve a little smidge of awkward and maybe a healthy dose of shyness. But with her, it had been nothing short of divine. Angelic even. Leo swears this is how the rest of his life is going to go. He can’t picture happiness any other way.
“You ready?” Annabeth Chase smiles at him as she smooths out her dress, burgundy satin clinging to her muscles and curves.
“Absolutely,” He gets up from the table, holds a hand out for her purse, and then for her.
“We didn’t leave anything did we?” She looks back at the table, he follows her gaze.
Only their dessert plates and the empty bottle of wine still stand. He stares at the aftermath. Consumption swirling in his mind. This is what it means to be full.
“Everything okay?” She adjusts her purse over her shoulder, frowns at him.
He smiles, shaking himself of his lingering body. “Let’s get out of here.”
Within a minute they’re standing outside. The wind is strong, pull—ing at them, >pushing< them. Before she can protest his jacket is around her shoulders, he’s nodding at her to put her arms through.
“Thank you.” Gratitude swirls in her grey eyes. “Won’t you be cold?”
He grins, cheeky and unfazed, “I run hot as a general rule.”
She snorts at him, rolls her eyes.
“I thought we could walk back, but i think this wind might genuinely blow us away.”
“Why don’t we walk anyway?” She shrugs, “It’d be an adventure if we started flying.”
He stares at her, blinks, bursts out laughing. “Alright, Miss Chase.”
And with their fingers still threaded, they start the journey back to her apartment.
It’s barely five hundred meters in when a loud crack sounds above them.
One minute Annabeth is explaining the annoying architect she has to work with and the next there’s a flash like stars exploding across the sky.
“I think it’s going to rain.” He tilts his head, frowns up.
A single drop falls hot on his cheek.
Annabeth giggles, swipes at it with her thumb. “Maybe you’re right.”
The clouds burst and they’re flooded.
“Run!” Leo yells, delight streaking across his features.
And run they do, nearly slipping, catching each other, racing for the nearest shelter. A bus stop too many raindrops too far.
With a crash they fall into the seats, half on top of each other, laughing breathlessly.
“Well the rain certainly came out of nowhere.” She stares at the sky, watching the downpour completely enraptured. “Sorry about your jacket.”
He waves a hand, trying to push the wet curls from his face. “It’ll dry. Are you okay?”
“A little rain never hurt me.” She smiles, just as her teeth start to chatter.
“But it does make you an ice-block.” He scrunches his nose, pulling her into him. “I really should have brought an umbrella.”
She shakes her head, eye level with him in her heeled boots. “We’ll live, worrier. No need to get caught up about it.”
“What if you get sick?”
“Then i have a very cute person to take care of me.” She raises a brow.
“You think I’m cute?”
“I think you may become the most wonderful thing that ever happens to me.”
He studies her, blonde curls now soaking wet and sticking to her neck, gold jewellery twinkling in the street light, sharp jaw, piercing grey eyes. She is striking.
“I think i’m going to kiss you now.” He whispers.
“Please,” She nods.
The sky ignites, the world gives another booming crack, and Leo kisses Annabeth. No-one would be able to tell you which storm was more extraordinary.

okay here's the deal: these songs are not a reflection of my mutuals' personalities this is just the vibe I feel with them. so what I did was put my music library on shuffle and if a name popped into my head while I was listening to a song I gave it to a moot. in truth I could probably do entire playlists for each of them lmao cause one song is not enough to capture their essence (felt v witchy saying that) but to the point: this is not what I picture their personalities like, just how they feel to me, so lyrics aren't necessarily relevant but they, along with the beat, form part of it all.
