        david  sat  on  the  edge  of  the  pool,      just  trying  to  clear  his  head.   a  portable  radio  sat  several  feet  away,    blasting    music,   resting  atop  his  towel.   it  was  later  into  the  evening,      too  late  for  anyone  else      he  had  decided.          and  that’s  when  he  hears  footsteps.       ‘   oh,     sorry.  ’       he  says  looking  up  to  see  who  it  was,   the  slight  twinge  of  an  accent  he  couldn’t  shake  despite  what  his  official  citizenship  said  spilling  over  his  lips  with  his  apology.  ‘  i  didn’t  think  anyone  else  would  be  in  here.  ’
