this is FAR FROM THE FIRST TIME johnny has awoken in a place he doesn’t remember. definitely not the worst place, either. it may, however, be the first time he’s woken up to the real - life equivalent of your standard hot doctor fantasy when the last thing he remembers is passing out in the bridge of his ship. so far, it looks like lucy really saved his ass on this one.

when horace replies to ryan’s statement that osolong is interested in him with “ that’s probably because he doesn’t know you very well, ” there’s so much in ryan’s response of " probably. ” at this point, ryan is very confident in his abilities to do things but he doesn’t really think he’s a great person. he’s still struggling with being reminded of what he was like at his worst and now he’s let someone who he’s very convinced is a terrorist go free. if osolong knew all of that, if anyone knew all of that, they probably wouldn’t be interested and that’s something ryan is very aware of.
