byungho schedule had been a little crazy the past couple of month. it seems like just recently he was doing the musical newsies and now he was going to star in his very first drama. with all his success and fame coming in so quickly - low key, he was missing his social life. even though he did work with a lot of his friend, he missed doing things outside of work. 

so when jinyoung mention to byungho that he wanted him to meet a friend of his, byungho was intrigue. exactly who was he trying to set him up with? byungho wasn’t in any serious relationship at the moment, and to be fair soyoun, might not be girl for him as she saw him more like a younger brother. so he took the courage to ask this girl, maya hang out with him.

they’ve message here and there but since he was free today, byungho took a leap of faith that she too was free to hang out.

if he had to think about it, yuuki never really had many experiences with being "the completely new kid". he had gone to the same schools throughout both elementary, middle, and high school, and there had always been at least a few people around he knew. beside everyone in a class was new during such situations.

this time, he knew absolutely nothing.

certainly that was a scary situation in itself, but in a way he also saw it as an exciting challenge. and there had never been once in his life that he had not been able to muster the courage to power through the difficulties anyway. beside, he was sure there were plenty of interesting people around. just like this girl who appeared deeply engulfed in a video playing on her phone.

"wah!" he practically yelled after recognising the characters moving around on the screen. "jujutsu kaisen! i haven't seen that in ages!" realising he was not only yelling in excitement, but also in a language that people here were not actually expected to understand, he clutched his hands to his mouth to shut himself up. "uhm, i mean..." pointing to the screen, he tried his best to explain his sudden outburst and then switched to give a thumbs up. "this anime... good!"

     it’s always nice being able to catch up with her friends that she doesn’t get to spend much time with anymore, considering her (relatively) busier schedule. and since she has a manager with her at all times nowadays, she doesn’t really have many plans to meet her friends. so she’s glad that she can visit the coffee truck, feeling very excited even if they’re really only going to be grabbing coffees and leaving after. 

     “what are you going to get?” somin asks maya, glancing at the menu and looking at the staff who are waiting nearby to take a picture of them once they’ve gotten their drinks. she tries to see what everyone else has been ordering, but has no idea.

     “i heard the drinks are good though?” she comments, before shrugging. “though i don’t know if i’m being influenced by everyone’s posts on instagram, you know? what are you thinking of getting?”

given the colour, the two bypassed the obvious options of going for a mr. and mrs. smith concept or a different romantic concept and instead dived down a different path. given their history as ex-couple, both felt a lot more comfortable displaying themselves as siblings instead or partners in crime.

the concept of 'fatal siblings' thus seemed like a good compromise for the two which also fit the theme well. considering their lack of red clothes both of them owned, they worked together with the staff to incorporate lighting and backgrounds as well that would match their theme.

displaying themselves in an array of red and black clothes in front of red neon lights or black and red backgrounds, the atmosphere is kept dark and mysterious, conveying a sense of danger and mystery. to be baited into a dark world of danger by two gorgeous individuals that were definitely more than meets the eye, the shoot displays the two of them as (wo)men eaters. luring unsuspecting individuals in with their classy, luxurious vibe and stunning visuals they don't operate as lovers but a duo that is twice as deadly.

the prompts are kept simple yet aimed to be as affective as possible. from a lollipop to flowers or them launching on chairs with magazines; every article given solely serves to undermine the characteristics they aim to portrait and aid them to set the vibe. (and if jinyoung happened to snack on the other or other lollipop, well he surely wasn't complaining.)

the moment he held up his red paper and saw it mirrored in maya's hands, jinyoung couldn't help but grin. he couldn't have been happier to be working together with maya for this shoot.

they were both creative souls in their own way and could bring something to the table that would leave the shoot beyond amazing. as their first brainstorming happened, the two only saw themselves with one issue-

"do you think they'll scold us badly for barely owning any red clothes...," he murmurs after the two of them had emptied his wardrobe out once maya came down after her own raid left her with 3 articles of clothing.
