can you believe it? our dimpled boy kim junghwan’s birthday is on valentine’s day! i happen to attend a cup sleeve event his fans held to celebrate his birthday, and it was honestly the cutest! knowing how junghwan is also a coffee-lover, the event made sense. the cup sleeve packages include a coffee of your choice from the café and instead of them using the shop’s usual cup sleeve, they used what the organizers had prepared - one with a design of their simple birthday greeting for their soft boy - plus cute mementos from the event like a fan made calendar and sticker set. i think an iced americano, which is junghwan’s favorite, gives you an additional fan made poster, too? overall, it was a really sweet and fun event. it’s nice to be on a date with fellow fans for a change! i heard that part of the proceeds will be given to the their chosen charity as well. junghwan and his fans are both sweet and soft!

small troubles

Usually her day to day life was rather foreseeable. Not much changed, except for the weekends, where her schedule was a little bit different. Yet, every now and then, something had to happen to add a little spice to one's life, no? Like crashing into someone in the hallway early in the morning, coffee in hand—correction, coffee spilled—or waking up late, then the bus doesn't show up and everything just piles up, ending in a horribly stressful day.

Alternatively, of course, Yisol could simply brush her hand through her hair and have her ring get stuck in it, however she managed that. Surely, it was her strong hand that now found itself entangled, so her left hand awkwardly fiddled to get the phone out of her pants' pocket, unlock it and type in her friends new number, that she hopefully memorised correctly. She simply hadn't to save it yet, as she could easily just open their existing chat and, well, simply had forgotten until now.

“Emergency! Code red!! Please come over right now, oh noblest hero!!!” she texted her friend quickly, adding a bit of humour even in her current situation, but didn’t notice that she got the number wrong. Yisol added the room she found herself in in the next text and simply hoped for the best. The girl really didn't want to lose any of her hair.

okay so maybe daeyeol panicked and maybe he asked two different people to be his jack. but also this jack would be someone that daeyeol would be able to take cute couple photos with and not worry about making aaron uncomfortable. he also wasn’t very big into the idea of the netizens seeing him and his brother together too close. he didn’t want to ruin at notoriety that his brother has accumulated. 

when junghwan arrived, it took daeyeol a moment or so to find him. he had originally been with aaron, then he had to flirt a little bit with yushin because yushin thought he was a girl! and now, he can be reunited with his other jack! grinning, he happily bounced through the crowd and embraced his jack, grinning from ear to ear.

“jack!” he calls out, in english, before easily switching back into korean. “my handsome jack, you’ve come to rescue me~” he’s being a little dramatic on purpose as he leans to press their cheeks together for a second. “please come and save me from these posh parties and bring me back to a life of simplicity~” he adds in with a grin as he pulls away and links their arms together.

“forward jack, let’s celebrate this party!”

old but gold.

to be on the other side of the camera was actually exciting,  even more so because ahri was allowed to pick the theme they’d be going for with this task.  it didn’t take her long to find something she was a bit too excited about,  always being a lover of old school kpop music that shaped their industry in the way it was nowadays.  heavy eyeliner and wildly styled hair were a rarity within boygroups and girlgroups alike,  and ahri thought it’d be the perfect way to go with this photoshoot -- to bring back the oldie vibes of bands who were,  even to this day,  iconic.

“you’re going to look so good,  oppa.”  she assured her friend as she applied yet another layer of black eyeliner neatly,  making sure to make it a tad smokey for the right effect.  “our sunbaes would be incredibly proud if they would see their prime time come back to life.”  a grin could be heard in her voice and seen on her lips once she was satisfied with the way the makeup turned out,  holding up a mirror for junghwan to see.  “bringing back the early 00′s and i’m loving this look on you.”

this year’s ISAC is a fun one, as expected. there were a lot of new faces this time around, and it was both surprising and refreshing to see a different side of them. and i really do mean surprising! not much of a fan of basketball, but has any of you seen that crazy kneeling shot from one of the basketball players? the one with the dimples? kim junghwan, right? i honestly didn’t expect him to get any scores considering he’s been on strict defense majority of the game - he’s very good at it, too. but anyway, the real question here is - was that basket just a simple lucky shot? his form looked both shaky and steady, sort of. it was really hard to tell. i am glad to know they didn’t get injured, though. that slight tumble with the player from the opposing team looked like it would have hurt too! well, lucky shot or not, i must admit i cheered along with the crowd when the ball went in! that was really awesome! his dimpled smile after was really cute too! guess he also scored another fan after that shot! does anyone know his social media account? what do you guys think of him?

[ + / - ] oh, i saw that one! i screamed because it felt like they were gonna miss the basket and the suddenly this junghwan kid was there out of nowhere for the rebound! it was a surprising and fabulous shot, to be honest! good job, kid! [ + / - ] ah, it’s probably just a random lucky shot. he looked so out of his element in the court, to be honest, like he doesn’t know what he’s doing. maybe that’s why he was put on defense? so he doesn’t get in his teammate’s way? and i honestly… didn’t notice him before he made that shot! he’s so easy to overlook… [ + / - ] i’m following his instagram (and you all should!). i believe he’s one of their models. he’s your usual soft, boy next door kind of guy. his dimpled smile makes him look softer! i think he’s acting, too? not sure, but i’m definitely looking forward to seeing more of him in the future!
