ALTBalaji inks global distribution partnership deal with LG
India’s homegrown OTT platform, ALTBalaji, has announced a strategic distribution partnership with LG Electronics – across the globe, the ALTBalaji app will be available on LG Television sets with WebOS version 3.0 and above. This will frther enhance large-screen TV viewing experience of ALTBalaji consumers. This is a strategic move to increase its universe of connected TVs and to literally get on to the home page of more and more connected TVs worldwide. LG’s SMART TV users can now get seamless access to ALTBalaji’s content library of Hindi Original Exclusives. With more than 20mn subscribers as of Q4FY-19, and 39 Originals and growing, ALTBalaji has a large original exclusive library of engaging content.
Nachiket Pantvaidya, CEO ALTBalaji and Group COO Balaji Telefilms, said, “ALTBalaji has seen a steady increase in viewership on smart TVs for our original drama shows, our consumers start sampling the shows on their mobile phone and eventually want to experience the show on their large screens. “We at ALTBalaji have partnered with technology giant LG Electronics to enable our app to natively sit on their LG WebOS platform.
