Going into this you have to know that this is sort of like a satire wuxia drama meaning it’s over the top kind of like making fun of all the cliches that are in a wuxia drama. It’s so utterly hilarious at times where they go beyond overdramatic. Now the main male lead might turn off some, he’s is the most obtuse obnoxious narcissistic (though does it so blissfully unaware) character you’ll ever see and stays that way throughout the drama. I thought Guo Jun Chen pulled off the character brilliantly since as much as the character was stuck on himself and selfish, he did it in such a humorous adorable way. The only downside of the drama for me was m, part way through the drama got a lil bit draggy and sometimes felt like it was going in circles. Still I do think this is a fun drama to watch at least once especially if you’re looking for a laugh. It’s a hilarious wuxia cdrama so if you love those then this is definitely a must watch.
