1. What are your major inspirations behind Carmine?

2. Which one of your OCs is a film buff and which one absolutely cannot sit through a movie without checking their phone, fidgeting, or falling asleep?

3. If one of them had to be sent to space, who would handle it best?

Carmine really didn't start out as... anything. 😂 I created him as a vampire for Julie's bachelorette challenge. Then slowly he just... kind of evolved. I think subconsciously as I developed him, I kind of... imbued him with the essence of Hades. It was like I developed his character a bit more and started to see the similarities between him and Hades later. Another one is Batman. Which again, completely unintentional. 😂 Both Batman and Hades were characters/myths I was incredibly interested in as a kid though, so they are sort of a core part of my soul in a way. Other than that... I'm not sure. Him starting out as a vampire I think had a lot to do with the way I went about characterizing him too, but it wasn't as if I had a specific vampire in mind.

Damien is 100% the film buff. He's an actor and director after all. Sort of. In his spare time. He did drama all throughout school and he now does scare acting during Halloween and creates short horror films for his youtube channel for the holiday. He's very picky about movies and prefers acting in theatre, but he does enjoy both. Ian however... Ian's main source of entertainment is anime. And sometimes he can barely focus on that due to the ADHD. 😂 It just so happens too... him and Damien are best friends.

Honestly, so many would have some sort of existential crisis of some sort if they were sent to space. 😭 Or they'd just be indifferent (like Seb and Clyde... They're too detached to care). But I feel like the two that could handle it + enjoy and appreciate it would be Kas and Liam. Kas is a religious studies professor and also just super interested in philosophy and theology. I feel like anything that could bring him closer to the universe would be incredibly enlightening and fascinating to him. As for Liam... His girlfriend, Lu, is super into star gazing and everything. The two of them have done it plenty of times, out in the middle of nowhere. He'd probably deeply appreciate a shuttle trip to space.

What was the first thing you decided on, the character's name, appearance, personality or their role in the story? I think his role was decided before anything else -- between that and his name. He basically came about because Clyde needed a close friend in their gang, and... Danny just happened to evolve from that role. His personality kind of came last, honestly. And it developed all on its own. 😭

And reverse, which one of the four things did you struggle with the most? Danny's one of my easiest OCs to write and like I mentioned, his personality pretty much developed on its own. So I don't think I really struggled with him at all. His personality gets to be... exhausting at times to write, but it's not because I don't know how he'd react to any given situation, it's just because he's so fucking depressing sometimes. He's been doing better with Snow, but he still has his moments and between his depression and my own, it's like... dude. Stop it. 😂

Do you have a voice claim for the character? What do you imagine the character sounds like? 😭😭😭 He's one of the few I don't have a voice claim for, sadly. Or if I did have one for him, I've forgotten by now. Since he is from Queens, I imagine he has a bit of an accent. Nothing super thick, but it's there. I figure it's a little fried sounding, and on the lower end of mid-range as far as tone goes. He's usually pretty soft-spoken too.

Do you have any quotes tied to the character, either from the story itself or from another source that fit them? Not quotes, necessarily... But I remember him thinking of sex as like. A lock and key situation to help himself work through his nerves. 😂 I'm sure there was something within what @stuckinsalt and I wrote between him and Charlotte after Clyde's death that would have fit him really well, but I've lost the links to all our writings, so I can't go back to pick anything out.

My other baby boy is back. 🥹

For those who don't know, this is Liam, Clyde's little brother. He was 14 when Clyde, 18, left home to join an Irish mob. In his own late teens, Liam ended up arrested for grand larceny and spent some time in prison, which is where he got his scar across his mouth from someone attacking him.

Out of prison, he travelled around the country, too ashamed to go home, and also just... wondering where the hell his brother could be. He searched everywhere, sleeping under bridges, foraging for food, and stealing from shops to get whatever he needed. Eventually, he did find Clyde, but it wasn't under the best circumstances. Clyde was already dead, his belongings and body posted to one of those sites for unidentified bodies. After that, Liam rushed back home to see his parents and get Clyde a proper burial.

Long story... not as long, Liam lived with Clyde's girlfriend/fiancée for awhile, helping care for her during her pregnancy while they grieved together. Nowadays, he lives with his girlfriend, Luana. I'm... pretty sure he's at least proposed to her by now (I think I posted about that on one of my old blogs, but I have no idea when), but who knows if they've married yet. 😂

Which of your OCs has been to jail or prison 🚓😬 Liam has been to prison before, for grand larceny. It was a crime bred out of circumstance, really, since him and his family were struggling financially. But that's where he got the scar across his lips. Sebastian is gonna be heading to prison fairly soon too. 😈 And he's never getting out.

Who’s absolutely filthy rich 💸 and who’s dead broke 💀 The richest character I have is probably Carmine. His family's been in "The Business" for awhile and with how much of a workaholic he is, I'm sure he's generated even more wealth to pass down to his kids. The poorest? Gotta be Jamie. Poor guy works at a gas station and spends what income he does get on his drugs, mostly. He's also still pretty young, so it's not as if he's had much time to save up anything.

Any OCs with trauma that genuinely messed them up 🫠🖤 lmao, most of them. It comes with the territory of being created by a person that also deals with trauma. But the worst off would probably be Sebastian, Danny, and Tommy (who I haven't posted before). Seb was abused throughout his childhood pretty heavily, in pretty much every way you can think of. Danny grew up with an abusive father and a mother that was too hopped up on pills to do anything about it (though she's better now). And Tommy killed one of his friends (Clyde) because he was forced to by their gang. All of them deal with night terrors, flashbacks, and Danny and Tommy both deal with insane amounts of guilt and low self-worth. All of them have addiction problems, in their own ways. For Danny, it's alcohol, for Tommy, it's smoking, and for Sebastian, it's violence.

Who goes to Disney World 🏰 and immediately blows all their money on merch 🎢🧸 Not that I've made her in TS4 yet, but Cherie, John and Maddie's daughter. She has an Ariel tattoo, so. It's about what you'd expect from her. 😂

Who’s most likely to become a superhero 🦸‍♂️✨ and what would their power be? ... Probably Elijah. I imagine with how goody-two-shoes he is, he'd be a lot like Superman. Not sure what his power would be, but he is pretty diplomatic, if that counts. 😂
