Richardson Hitchins vs. Liam Paro | 6/14/2025
Richardson Hitchins (19-0) is a world champion, coming out on top against Liam Paro to become the IBF super lightweight champ. The Brooklyn native is actively searching for a fight with any of the top 140lbers out there. But for now he'll be looking to add George Kambosos Jr (22-3) to his resume first.
Hitchins and Kambosos will face off this Saturday (June 14) at MSG.
Liam Paro vs Subriel Matias - 6/15/2024
Australian boxing has a new world champion in Liam Paro (25-0, 15 KOs). Paro is coming off a solid performance over Puerto Rican Subriel Matias where he took the IBF Super Lightweight championship. For some reason, he is back in Puerto Rico this week to defend that title.
Paro will face off with up and comer Richardson Hitchins (18-0. 7 KOs) this Saturday (Dec. 7).
Liam Paro vs Richardson Hitchins
As good of a boxing performance as Liam Paro put on against Subriel Matias, I'm annoyed at how the commentators were complaining about the referee admonishing him, when he was in fact landing headbutts and rabbit punches the entire fight. He was also clinching a bunch, but for whatever reason you've got Sergio Mora there like "well why aren't they warning Matias about anything?" It's because he wasn't the one cheating Mora. Jesus Christ.
I hope Matias goes back goes back to the drawing board and figures out how to stop over-relying on the high guard defense, because it felt like it really worked against him here. So many times in the fight you'd have Matias shelling up while Paro was just lightly flicking jabs out at him and using that to set up other punches. There was one point in I think the 1st or 2nd round of the fight were Matias came over one of those jabs and landed a heavy one of his own on Paro, but then he never did that again throughout the entire fight. It felt like Matias kept waiting for Paro to finish his combinations before firing back, but by the time he did either Paro wasn't there anymore or he was coming in for the clinch.
Idk man. Idk shit about boxing. Congratulations to Liam "The Real Deal" Paro. Viva Australia cabrones. 🇦🇺
Liam Paro vs Montana Love Highlights | Big Finish
Aussie Liam Paro (24-0, 15 KOs) has built quite a run to start his career. Undefeated as a pro, he's taken out all the competition he could in Australia before coming to the U.S. to take out Montana Love. On the strength of a couple big KOs, he's getting a title shot against one of the biggest finishers in boxing at the moment.
Paro will challenge IBF super lightweight champion Subriel Matias (20-1, 20 KOs) this Saturday (June 15).
