To clarify: it's not the larry "debunking" we're concerned about. It's the fact that he generalized a large portion of his fans and proceeded to imply that their behavior was irritating. The lgbq+ community and Larries are not synonymous, and he had zero reason to bring up Larry. He at least should have apologized for slamming the safe place the lgbtq+ community has established in the fandom and at the concerts. That section of the article was really offensive, regardless of shipping preferences. When you have that much influence, you need to be hyper sensitive of how your words will influence others. One glance at this article sent up a red flag, and it's impossible for 1dhq to have missed it. This segregation of the fandom was intentional, and this is precisely the reaction they expected.
