Here's an interesting one: SonElise. Or is that beyond your limits?

Hmm, Elise maybe? Sonic didn’t seem to be going for hugs, or even initiating much contact in 06, so maybe he’s kinda shy with her, like she’s like no-one he’s ever met. Perhaps as their relationship developed, he’d want to feel closer to her, but Elise to start with.
If we’re talking realistically, the royal maids, after Sonic’s run off that morning and Elise has dressed. Who’s more likely to do it? Elise. She seems like she takes care of herself and appearance, so I guess she would her property too.
Err, maybe Elise actually. I have Sonic down as a morning run guy, but I think she’d be the type to want to watch the sunrise, and appreciate the morning and reflect. It’s a busy life, is that of a princess, so she probably likes the times when no-one is calling for her, and it’s just her and the larks awake. Awww
Who has the weird taste in music:
I’d imagine Elise grew up and was taught to play and sing and dance to ballroom, so she might be quite a classical girl, while Sonic was raised surfing on the ever-changing wave of whatever’s cool, so they probably both think each-other’s music is weird! Elise might quite like to learn about his music and other things she missed out on, and maybe he’d insist on accompanying her to a few balls, so he’d have to learn to lead. Even though he’s tiny on her ;)
Sonic. Elise isn’t that knowledgeable about the world: she knows the theory, but has no experience. She probably trusts people instinctively without limitations, and doesn’t understand a lot of social norms. So Sonic sees himself as her personal protector, even telling a few of her mandatory guards that they weren’t needed. Also, she would have no idea if someone was chatting her up: she’s used to flattery, given she’s a future queen. Why wouldn’t he be friendly? Sonic has been known to bristle up at strangers approaching them.
Sonic probably, though maybe Elise would hum a little tune, Sonic would be delivering a curtained concert whenever he’s at hers. He can’t help himself: the royal bathrooms are massive, and you can slide around in a cloud of soap bubbles, there’s so much floor space! I wonder how many things in her palace he’d break within a month of the two dating?
I bloody hope Elise doesn’t: Sonic can’t be dealing with a fire-monster every time they watch a disney! In all seriousness, I think they’d both be pretty stony faced: even minus the demon inside her, Elise has dedicated years and years to not letting herself cry, she’s a tough cookie when it comes to crying. Sonic would be a bit glum, but perk himself up pretty easily. So neither. They prefer comedies anyway.
Who spends the most while out shopping:
Elise has no concept of money. Other people pay, or she gets things for free. The first time they went out without some noble or other to buy things? Think Rapunzel in Tangled when she’s in the city. She was amazed at the freedom, no-one following her every move, a casual hoodie covering her head, she could do as she wanted, and Sonic found her eagerness pretty cute. Until it came for paying and she got totally confused. Fortunately, the shopkeeper accepted a monthly deposit, and NO WAY was he signing those checks!
I don’t think either. Elise doesn’t strike me as the type. Maybe Sonic would, just because he’s unpredictable. Every now and again he’ll just sweep her off her feet and run them away somewhere, so I’d guess he’d be more likely to just initiate that sort of thing.
I think they’re pretty pragmatic. Elise is fairly level-headed, and open to his ideas, and Sonic can be sensible, when the situation arises. So I reckon they’d be very equal on most things, occasionally Sonic will insist on things though. Maybe Sonic.
This is a ship a lot of people object to. I personally don’t mind the species difference: human is just another animal, after all! However, I think that it was rushed. They wanted to stuff this romance in somehow for some reason, since Sonic would save her whether there was a romantic sub-plot or not. Strangely, I think more people would ship it if they hadn’t been obviously trying to make it happen, and they’d parted as unlikely friends, seeing as this fandom ships everything! Also, I think they could have given Elise a more developed character if they hadn’t been busy with making them in love. So, I wouldn’t mind the ship, but they handled it poorly.Also, this made me not want SEGA to put romance in future games: As much as I ship stuff, if the whole story is about love, I feel like I’m reading fanfiction.
This was quite difficult, I don’t really theories these two much. But I could, they’re not out of the realms, and I can see the appeal ^-^
