I'm trying to work on not being so in my head when I draw. Working on art ends up feeling like a chore and I notice myself getting stiff and unmotivated to create anything at all. I've never been able to just make little drawings and doodles even though I've been drawing for like 17 years. It always had to be a whole completed drawing or it didn't count. I've been working on rewiring a lot of aspects of my brain to improve my quality of life (that sounds like a pitchy way to say self help book stuff) and one place I always wanted to improve was art. I'm learning that art improvement doesn't just mean one vague "better looking art". It's a lot of different parts that make each other better.

I think my opinions about subjects I typically draw also influence how much I care about the outcome. For this reason, I wanted to use myself as a subject because I have zero regard for how unflattering I'm portrayed.

" I don't have an opinion on Niall because I don't really follow him and he seems to do all right, maybe not as well as his first album but still. Agreed. I’ve expressed my concerns about Liam’s career elsewhere. I do enjoy his art posts and hope it’s providing an outlet that’s more for him and not about staying in the limelight.
