Bradburia pilosa(soft gold aster)
Sabatia angularis (prairie pink gentian)
Liatris squarrulosa var. squarrulosa(stems hairy) with some interesting bracting going on, the clear differense between this individual and that Liatris compacta( formerly L. squarrulosa var. compacta) is the colony forming and has glabrous stems similar to stems like the L. squarrulosa var. glabrata and has usually one flower per stem . The flora of North american flora book states these differenses but i’ve heard the colony forming is somewhat important as well.
“Heads usually borne singly (each immediately subtended by relatively broad, foliaceous bracts longer than involucres); stems glabrous
Liatris compacta”
“Heads in racemiform to spiciform arrays; stems glabrous or puberulent-villous”
Liatris squarrulosa”
