I’m unable to put a names to the faces for the other actresses but at least two of them are included in IMDb’s credit list: Doris Ake and Willa Pearl Curtis

Bright Road is a film about Jane Richards’ (played by Dandridge) first year as a teacher at a rural Alabama schoolhouse. Ignoring warning from other teachers and the principal (played by Belafonte), Jane becomes determined to help the school’s “problem child” (played by Philip Hepburn) succeed academically.

The film also stars Barbara Ann Sanders (later known professionally as Barbara Randolph) and Maidie Norman.
