This whole week has been powerfully calling us into existence and giving us the tools to excel, yesterday it culminated with Dominican Haitian Culture Center’s @dhculturalcenter screening, discussion and panel. It was great to be in intimate conversation listening to reflections, opinions and ensuring we had a space of tolerance. This dude tried to come at me, someone who hadn’t watched the movie The Price of Sugar and insisted on invalidating our reflection, we needed to remind him, he came to the table late and our agreement is tolerance. We have to have barriers and let people know that demeaning someone is not acceptable whether or not you agree with them. This is the decolonization process no longer looking at the Racists in the room and staying silent while their toxicity amplifies decimating people and our sacred environment. So elated to be in communion with these powerful leaders and superstars we are going to do amazing things in the years to come.
