Darjeeling memories

I travel around and see

That all I need is a cup of tee

But no sugar or milk

Could change the flavor of mint.

I then turned handle of my window, 

clockwise,

as to let in the winter wind.

With lips quivered with emotions

and causing her to squint,

she stared. 

Again,

not because of the wind,

but for the impetuous visit of darjeeling memories.

Stand and still,

With no conscious of reality,

She was gone.

Stopped sipping her tea and enjoying the smell of mint.

Far far away from home.

She had propelled into the magic world she called

Her mind.

The Venn diagram of vegans and white people with "dreads" needs to overlap a fuck of a lot less. If you're vegan, you should be able to understand oppression, and cultural appropriation is a part of oppression. I expect better from vegans, who are supposed to stand for compassion and liberation.

It starts as silence, looming without recognition or name.

It blooms into hatred and contempt, fear of acceptance that leads to dangerous compliance.

It wilts to a sea of self hate a dread, fear and crippling acceptance, and suddenly, you're drowning. Carried out, utterly alone, into the unending abyss. You are afraid. Afraid to tell. Afraid to know. Afraid to live. Nothing is sacred to you. Nothing is the same. Your innocence flies out a broken window with nothing more than a flutter and a slight giggle.

It ends with a name. A simple phrase that sets it all free. Silence was a cage that burst open. There is nothing in the world more powerful and liberating than words, this I believe.
