This looks like a dreamy Monday afternoon situation! This is the newly-renovated Stony Island Arts Bank in Chicago; a hybrid gallery, media archive library and community centre. Dreeeaaamy. + the style catalogue

Over the weekend, I was delighted to spy a lil Free Library action happening in Mount Vic! On my way up the hill to the town belt I found three books lovingly displayed across the park bench. On my way back down again about an hour later, there were even more!
So much free book love 💓

Introducing Books on the Rail! Books on the Rail started out two years ago in Melbourne, with two friends leaving books on Melbourne trains to encourage people to read and interact during their daily commute. Each book has a sticker telling commuters to "take a book, read it and return it for someone else to enjoy". The idea has completely taken off and is now being introduced throughout Australia, with support from loads of different publishers who send in free books for distribution. Fancy that! A free read!! I’d be pretty delighted to find quality reading material on public transport (... hint hint).

This is a pretty library-related picture that came up on my Insta feed. Fancy that! It is the Real Gabinete Português de Leitura in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and was founded in 1837 by Portuguese immigrants. Library Candy RETURNS.

This week’s library candy comes courtesy of one of my BFFs in Melbourne. This little book exchange library is in her neighbourhood and is super cute, as you can see. I dream of finding one of these somewhere around the place (hint hint, Wellingtonians!)
