Here is my first Library Loot book meme entry. Due to my lack of reading enthusiasm, I decide to try reading manga as a way to stay motivated.

The list is divided into two parts.

I decided to reread some manga that I haven't read for several years. I'm curious to know what my opinion of this manga is now that I'm an adult.

What books did I pick this week?

It's been a hot second since I visited the library. This year's library reading challenge theme has been released. This year's Reading Challenge theme is Unearth a Story. Hence, my dinosaur banner.

I usually check out more books, but I decide to limit myself this time. I notice every time I check out a lot of books, half of them won't be read. To make sure I read all the books I borrow, I'm going to limit myself. This is until I can create a reading schedule and set aside specific times each day for reading.

My library trip today. Due to the holiday, my local library will be closed for three days. It'll reopen after the new year. As I'm off after Christmas, I'll be bored until the new year. I plan to make the most of this time by catching up on some reading at home. I’ll revisit a few books I’ve been meaning to finish, and maybe explore some e-books or audiobooks online. It’s not the same as browsing the library shelves, but it’ll keep me occupied until the library reopens.

Library Loot

So I’ve been in a reading mood lately, but I’ve been leaning towards audiobooks so I went on a search for audiobook providers. While I have a Scribd account most of the titles I want to listen to are always pushed back a month even if I’ve paused my account until the next available date. So I cancelled my account since I was disappointed by selection left over. 

Then I got into Hoopla. I honestly thought Hoopla was just another version of Overdrive/Libby so I ignored it for a while. Then I found out there was no waitlist so I immediately jumped in. I’m totally fine with having a cap on how many titles I can check out per month since I can work with it. I just want to have access to audiobooks!
