if anyone was curious what my last ever finals season (grad school stretches it out through April and early May for me) is gonna be like in the lens of the nascar cup series, I have crucial meetings for my practicum that acts as mh thesis next week. That weekend is Martinsville.

April has my week of the final push for the poster design for our presentation. Nascar is at Darlington.

my birthday and the final due date for a bunch of other practicum stuff. We’re at Bristol. (Passover also starts that weekend, right before my birthday)

all class practicum meeting to update our section lead was half about our practicum and mostly about how we are all not quite clear on whether the ongoing fuckery with the government Will Or Won't Make Our Work Literally Impossible or Illegal therefore doom our MASTERS OF LIBRARY SCIENCE DEGREES

that said one of our projects (not mine) now has to change all of their materials because we are not allowed to include mentions of Trans people in the title. bless that project leader shes got work ahead of her, considering this has all happened about three weeks before our poster materials for the final symposium are due.

our already meager job opportunities have been made worse due to public institutions no longer being worth the risk, all of my colleagues are only considering opportunities from private universities right now. And now that IMLS got caught up in that executive order....the special collections people are ALSO fucked (least of all our medical library track people, who have been suffering since january)

our school currently cant tell us exactly what we need to prep for which i get that the situation is weird rn but like. i paid a lot of money to work for this degree and i would FUCKING LIKE TO RECEIVE IT IN MAY ACTUALLY
