Jedna z mojich najobľúbenejších scén.

Do čela sa napokon postaví Přemysl, ktorý sa po víťazstve nad Zličanmi a Avarmi s Libušou ožení, ale že je autoritou i sama o sebe, dokazuje celé dve knihy. Dotrhaná a upachtená ušla zo zajatia za pomoci muža, ktorého pochybnosti nahlodala natoľko, že prebehol k nej. Len aby zistila, že jednu jej sestru medzitým posadla a odviedla Zličsko-Avarská čarodejnica. Má so sebou iba pol tucta spojencov a aj tak neklesá na duchu. Vymyslí s nimi záchrannú akciu a získa k nej práve tú besniacu silu, ktorú do kraja vypustilo plienenie nepriateľa. Krotkí domovici premenení zničením domovov a zabitím ich domácich na slepo krvilačných raráškov sú skazonosní pre celé okolie. Ako keď rabovanie roznáša choroby a z preživších robí zvlčilých tulákov. A ona ich skrotila a pekne organizovane obrátila proti útočníkom, čo sa bezstarostne dmuli pýchou, ako sa na miestnych vyvŕšili a ich zem si vzali pre seba. Nevzali. Libuše naďalej velí ľuďom, vie ako znova naklásť základné kamene civilizácie a usmerniť, využiť nadprirodzené sily po vzore jej otca Kroka pred ňou. Libuše ostáva kňažnou aj na úteku a vracia úder.

“The mythical founder of the city of Prague and the Czech people as a whole, Libuše belonged to the Přemyslid dynasty. Libuše founded Prague in the 8th century when she stood at the mighty fortress of Vysehrad from Libušín castle and envisioned the foundation of a mighty and magnificent city title Praha, which in the Czech language means ‘threshold’. Mythical Libuše was the youngest daughter of the Czech ruler Krok whose other daughters were Kazi (the healer) and Teta (the magician). Libuše was chosen by her father as his successor and proved to be wise and just but was still nonetheless a woman, which irritated her tribesmen. The tribe wished for a male ruler and so the prophetess Libuše told them to seek out a specific man, a farmer who happened to be wearing a broken sandal and ploughing his field. The tribesmen found the farmer Přemysl from Stadice village who abandoned his plough and married Libuše. Thus the beginning of the Přemyslid dynasty continued with their child Nezamysl.”
