She said she licked balls, so what?
Let's chat about the woman who testified at church, confessing her sins and explicitly proclaiming the uncomfortable details of her ordeals in front of the congregation during testimony service. I must admit, I was not surprised since things like this happen in church regularly, but what really shocked me was the response both on the video and amongst those that watched and shared. People all over America are chiming in and laughing at an intimate moment captured on camera by someone who had no regard for just how special and important her confession was.
They say the church is the place for believers to assemble, not to be judged or condemned but celebrated and pursued by the grace of our God. Yet too many made up rules and false doctrine seemingly have done away with what the bible teaches, which should be the basis of such rules. A "whatever works for you" doctrine has become the new deal. It is even safe to say that the church resembles America in some instances where you have someone who is powerful enough and popular enough win an election, gaining the support of those that believe and side with his practices even if they don't fall in line with the constitution. The constitution for the church should be the word of God, but secret and hidden agenda rule out God's purpose and plans within His church.
So what happens now? I guess we call it just a moment in time and a sucky start to the new year for the Black Church. We laugh at the pain and humility of others not realizing that we are one video away from going viral. We make ourselves so much smaller that were needed to be and its a shame. The world is waiting on us to be the Jesus they've never seen, but we have become the world and in need of a savior many times over, forgetting we ever knew him. Maybe this year things will change.
