The Lied Jungle at Omaha's zoo is the largest indoor rainforest in America. It's beautiful. In the rest of the zoo many animals had new babies born this year including most of the big apes. I love finding new things every time I go through an exhibit. I managed to catch this plant at two places in its flowering//seeding cycle at the same time. Egyptian fruit bats (Rousettus aegyptiacus) in the Lied Jungle. Fruit bats in this genus use echolocation, the only genus of large/fruit bats that do so. #chiroptera #bat #liedjungle #rainforest #omahazoo
