They had begun shooting just barely a week ago, the work barely giving Otogiri any time to spend at his leisure. All the more grateful was he, when the weekend finally came, allowing him to escape the confines of his set, even if only for a few hours. Dressing as inconspicuously as possible, the actor had excused him for the time being and stepped out into the maze that was Tokyo, intending to take a look at the city. Things had changed since his last visit to Japan, and if he was to spend several months in this city, he was going to ensure he’d know his way around again.
He had been strolling in a quieter part of the city, away from the touristic center and possible fans that would recognize him, instead enjoying the more tranquil residential district, when a loud bark, followed by a shout, caught him off guard. Otogiri barely had the time to turn in surprise, when something large and furry already came charging at him. No, wrong; not at him but at some rodent, fleeing in a panic from the much larger mammal, clearly not sharing the same excitement the dog clearly seemed to be experience. Still, if both animals were going to stay on the same course they currently had taken, there was going to be a collision.
However, despite the looks, the beast seemed to be trained better than he had assumed; a sharp shout of what he assumed was the dog’s name cut through the air, causing the giant canine to come to a slowing halt just before Otogiri, clearly unhappy about having to let its prey go.
Finally able to tear his gaze from the animal, now that he wasn’t any longer in danger of being tackled down by it, the actor instead raised his head to look at the owner which was running up to them now. Much to his surprise, the young woman which caught up to her pet now was far younger than he would have assumed.
❝You might want to get a smaller dog.❞
