“You’re under arrest!” The small boy announced, his expression as serious as a six year old playing ‘police’ could be and he held out a shiny, plastic badge to the man as if to prove his point.
He loved playing police – his dad worked for the DCPD and Cole thought that was the coolest thing ever. He was constantly telling his friends about how awesome his dad was and he wanted to be just like him when he grew up.
“You have the right t’remain silent.” Cole wasn’t sure exactly what that meant, but he’d heard it in movies so he thought it was a ‘cop’ thing to say even if he didn’t understand it.

“Good morning, Lieutenant! If your hangover has not compromised you, I brought some coffee and a pastry. I was told pastries provide short lived energy until you can have a full meal to sustain you for a few hours.”

His thirium pump almost leaps out through synthetic skin when Connor found Hank unconscious again. It made him feel panicky-- his artificial heart pumping twice as fast. “ Lieutenant! ” He made his way to the older male who was crashed down on the floor-- this time next to the couch rather than by the small dining table.
A bottle of whiskey was found; rolled out from Hank’s grasp. He’s been drinking again. A sigh emulates out from frowning synthetic lips. “ Hank... ” The name slips out of his lips, his hand now reaching out towards Hank’s wrist; two fingers ( ——yes, the exact same fingers that he uses to touch evidence and lick it- ) pressed against the skin. He can feel his pulse-- now scanning to gain the statistics. His heart rate is low however steady, and his blood pressure is high-- which doesn’t surprise him due to the amount of alcohol Hank has been drinking out of that bottle of whiskey.
Of course, Connor could’ve stopped and woken Hank up by giving him a bit of a wake-up call by slapping him on his cheek. However, a thought had halted his upcoming actions, bringing in another bonus objective that could be done if chosen so.
Bonus Objective: Listen to Hank’s heart.
A simple easy scan was nothing compared to actually hearing it in person. It made him stop, processors now whirring. Hank wouldn’t mind, right? Connor never witnessed an actual beating of a human being’s heart. It had made him feel intrigued-- and feeling something was still such an odd thing even after his deviancy.
So without any much thought, Connor leaned down more and pressed his ear to Hank’s chest, over where the heart is and carefully listen. “ ... ” He can hear it through his audio processors; it’s beating, actually beating. He’s in awe of how such a heart like this can beat so rhythmically. It made Connor feel amazed by simply listening to Hank’s heart, feeling like he can never get bored of it as it was increasing his amazement. “ It’s amazing... ” Connor murmured.
He soon moved away, knowing that he can’t listen to the beat of a heart all day. He has to wake Hank up. The bonus objective was ticked off. Now he has to complete the main objective.
“ Lieutenant! ” He calls out, his arm raised just to plummet down to slap Hank hard on the cheek. “ Wake up! ”

“I don’t know why I let you talk me into this, Lieutenant.” Connor can’t get mad at Hank even if he wanted to. Just a few drinks. Connor seriously needs to start taking things told to him with a grain of salt. One arm is around the Lieutenant’s waist while he lets the other lean on him as they get up to the front door of the house. He’d taken the keys from Hank before they even got started on the way home. No way was he going to let Hank drive even if he was only ‘buzzed’ as he’d been told.
Of course he can’t help but let the smile creep onto his face when Sumo comes over to greet them at the door. “Hello to you as well, just give us a minute okay?” Connor holds back a laugh at the look the dog is giving them both. It’s like he knows. “Go sit down, Lieutenant. I’m going to get you something to drink...that isn’t alcohol.”
