Born with the dawn's first light To young devoted parents Questioned the mystery of existence Under the night sky On top of the highest mountain Lit a fire to leave a mark Decorated the candles and diyas For safety, love and hope When in the bright white room Yelled and cried for help The warm glow of fairy lights Gave rise to understandings
Yet only on the darkest days With the lights switched off And the dark grey skies Laying on the cold hard floor Remembered that God may exist No time for its justifications Prayed for empty nothingness Silence, vacuum, no senses Prayed to it for the end This is what divine meant The vast, unending void Let's submerge in God
