What is the purpose of life?
For many years, I would wake up and ask myself…
“What is my purpose?”
“What am I meant to do?”
“What is the meaning of my life?”
I was desperate to find the answers.
I started taking philosophy classes at my university…
I devoured every book by Socrates, Aristotle, Sartre, and Camus…
I spent hours watching YouTube videos on life and the meaning of it all…
I would even stay up until 3 am with friends over a few beers… trying to find the answers.
And guess what?
This went on for four years…
And I never found them.
Until one day, I met with one of my professors and he taught me a very important lesson that changed everything.
He said to me…
“piyoosh… no one knows what the purpose in life is. And that is what makes life beautiful. You are free. Go live your life, try to do the best you can, and discover what purpose means to you.”
At the end of the day, no one knows what the purpose in life is.
No one knows why we are here, what we are meant to do, or what is the meaning of it all.
And that’s beautiful.
You, my friend, are free to define what purpose means to you.
No one else can answer this question for you…
The answer is in you…
Now go find it.
