I liked Chanel Pre-Fall very much, I think that Lagerfeld's concept of 'all kilted up' was good in keeping the authentic in the plain, white blouses and boots, and still fresh with the long, stiff skirts, the fine jewels, the loose trousers, the whole quirky costume element that kept it out of the strictly traditional Ralph Lauren territory that it could have easily fallen into. My only dislike were the hats, the style wasn't great and the flamboyant hair the other styles sported really added to the outfit, while wearing an ordinary wools hat certainly keeps you firmly out of the regal area. And of course... The dresses. Gorgeous again, and in tailoring and design reflect Pre Fall 2012 without the excessive jewels and diamonds, but still the clear and fantastic shape and design, with a lot more layers and patterned with jackets this time around. On the whole this collection would be fit for a Queen, which is highly appropriate as Lagerfeld decided to host the show in the very same cattle whMary Een of Scotts was born, nearly seven centuries ago, which certainly adds to this collections air of Dark Romance that the designer was inspired by.
