This is a huge honor and a great ’full-circle’ kickoff to the next chapter of the project because LA Weekly is where Matt Groening (Life In Hell / The Simpsons) was discovered! - After working as a character layout artist (lead animator) on The Simpsons since 2006, it’s amazing to now have this chance for exposure in the same place Matt got his start and big break! No matter what happens, it’s just great to share the same pages as one of my personal heroes and inspirations. The story’s author, Alex Distefano, commissioned me to create a Christmas gift for him back in December, but I had no clue he wrote for LA Weekly.
