We are delighted to congratulate Cynthia Sherry, Group Publisher at @chireviewpress and @triumphbooks , on her 30th anniversary here at @ipgbook ! Since her start with the company in 1989, Cynthia has held financial management as well as executive editorial positions at Independent Publishers Group, Chicago Review Press and Triumph Books. As publisher for Chicago Review Press, she oversees the editorial, marketing, publicity and book production of about 60 titles a year under five different imprints, including Chicago Review Press, Lawrence Hill Books, Academy Chicago Publishers, Council Oak Books and Parenting Press, and manages a publishing staff of 15. She’s the driving force behind these well-established and much celebrated independent presses: “We don’t follow trends but we pay attention to the culture and focus on books that will sell well year after year. We keep our indie spirit alive by taking chances on unusual stories, edgy topics, and first time authors that the bigger publishing houses might have taken a pass on.” (Sherry in an interview, 2016). Cynthia, thank you for your endless passion, boundless energy, and insights that make IPG, CRP, and Triumph Books what we are today. #publishing #independentpublishing #publishingnews #lifeinpublishing #lifeinbooks #readmore #booksarelife #publishers #indiesforindies #chicagoreviewpress #triumphbooks #workanniversary #employeeappreciation (at Chicago Review Press) https://www.instagram.com/p/B1r8J1JgKHF/?igshid=j0h7cvwvhmbd
